PVA
World-Class Innovator
Conformal Coating
PVA works with customers across acrylics, urethanes, silicones, epoxies, synthetic rubbers, thin-film nano coatings, and UV curable acrylated urethanes to match the right chemistry to the right process.
• Comprehensive Chemistry Support – Solvent-based, water-based, and 100% solids formulations, including silicones and UV curables.
• Versatile Application Methods – Atomized spray for a wide range of chemistries, non-atomized coating for high-evaporation solvent-based formulations, and flood applicators, micro-streaming, or jets for detailing tight keep-out areas.
• Trusted Across Key Industries – Aerospace, automotive, energy, industrial coating systems, telecommunications, and white goods.
• Large Support Network – Three FSEs in California, and a rapid response ticketed phone/email system.
Application Valves & Dispensing Technology
Precision Valves for Every Coating Pattern
PVA’s valve lineup covers everything from fine detail dispensing to wide-area atomized spray, each engineered for a specific pattern and chemistry.
Key Features:
• FC100-MC – Needle dispense valve using standard Luer Lock needles for detail or hard-to-reach areas; capable of high-pressure dispensing for gels, masking, staking, and encapsulants.
• FCM100 – Micro dispense valve for non-contact application of low-viscosity coatings in dot or line patterns.
• FC100-CF – Airless film coating valve producing a sharp stream of low-viscosity fluid, ideal for solvent-based coatings.
• JDX – High-precision, non-contact jet valve for fine dots and lines of coatings, adhesives, and encapsulants.
• FCS300 / FCS300-ES / FCS300-ES-UF – Atomized spray valves for low-pressure, low-volume processes, with the extended (ES) and ultra-fine (ES-UF) versions delivering edge definition within ±1 mm and transfer efficiency in excess of 99%.
With this range of valves, PVA can match virtually any coating chemistry to the application method that best fits a customer’s process.
Direct Series Automated Systems
PVA’s Direct Series is a lean manufacturing program of pre-engineered solutions, letting customers configure new equipment for their application with shorter lead times — a solution can be designed in minutes and go directly into production. Made in the USA.
Key Features:
• Delta 8 – A flexible robotic conformal coating/dispensing system for selective coating, potting, bead, and meter-mix dispensing, suited to inline or batch operations, with ±25 micron XYZ repeatability.
• Delta 6 – A reimagined robotic coating/dispensing system with a robust overhead three-axis motion platform for inline or batch operations.
• Flex – The Flex Cell is a custom three or four-axis robotic platform for dispensing a wide variety of adhesives, sealants, and conformal coatings. Each Flex Cell is designed to your specific application and with your desired options.
• PVA350 – The PVA350 is a flexible three or four-axis robot that is suitable for virtually any benchtop or laboratory selective coating and automated dispensing application. Encoder feedback on all axes assures a closed-loop process that is consistent and reliable. The PVA350 platform is enclosed for added protection during spray applications.
Equipment and options in the Direct Series are always expanding, giving customers thousands of pre-engineered combinations to choose from.
Curing & Material Handling
Curing and handling options add on seamlessly to streamline a coating process from application through inspection.
• DeltaTherm Infrared Curing Oven – Efficiently cures adhesives and coatings using infrared panels, with a double-sided configuration offering custom top and bottom heat profiling in two-foot sections and optional humidity control, in lengths from 4 to 16 feet.
• Spectra UV Curing Oven – Uses Fusion® UV lamps by Heraeus to initiate fast ultraviolet polymerization of adhesives and coatings in an efficient inline process, with various beam widths for different substrate sizes.
• BI2000 Board Inverter – A compact inverting module that exposes the underside of an assembly for processing within an inline process, supporting bi-directional operation.
• Queue Inspection Conveyor – Optimizes material flow between processes for bare board assemblies or pallet fixtures, with a standard black light included for inspection.
Together, these systems let PVA deliver a complete line — from dispensing and coating through curing, inverting, and inspection.
